[Mature Creator Warning] August 2020’s GamingMatters.net creator of the month is Faxxius! In the very first episode of our podcast, I had the opportunity to speak to Faxxius directly via interview, and it made me realize what kind of character lies beneath that toga.
Who is Faxxius?
For those unaware Faxxius is known as the Greek God of Streaming on Twitch, and is well known in the Stream Texas streaming community that is organized by Twitch community members.
At the start of July last month Faxxius streamed on his anniversary to the tune of Minecraft in a stream titled “F*** Faxxi Friday” in which viewers were encouraged to donate via tiltify to the charity To Write Love On Her Arms.
In total Faxxi raised over the course of a spectacular 12 hour stream, $1590.00 for To Write Love On Her Arms.
Why This Charity?
To Write Love On Her Arms is a charity focused around getting victims of abuse the support they need to continue life normally.
Sadly there has been a surge of accusations regarding bad conduct in the streaming community, and TWLOHA created a special care package for them and a fundraising goal of $15,000 to assist those affected.
It was especially important to Faxxius that he use the platform he had built, and the community that follows him, to assist others in the best way he could: by suffering in Minecraft.
Actions Speak Louder Than Words
It takes someone with a kind heart to take their stream-a-versary and turn it into an opportunity to help others, and thats precisly what Faxxius did on July 1st 2020.
That is why I name him the Creator of the Month for August 2020.
